Internships |
Compass USA provides you with the opportunity to participate in a volunteer internship program for 4-12 weeks. If you are serious about your career, with strong English conversation skills you may qualify to join our internship program and learn about the American business culture in a professional setting.
Interested candidates select a specific career interest and the location of the internship. You will be introduced to the American culture and English language by living with host families and to the American business culture by working with Americans in a nonprofit business setting. Positions and responsibilities will vary, but you may expect to work 25-40 hours per week in a volunteer business placement that consists of three components:
shadowing an American career professional
working on professional projects that reflect their career interests
working on administrative duties

General Information
Participation in Compass USA internships is volunteer. It is a unique and serious business opportunity. Interns will act and be treated as professionals.
DATES: Intern selects dates for 4-12 week internships
COOPERATING ORGANIZATIONS: All cooperating organizations are nonprofit and provide community service.
PARTICIPANTS: 18 years & older with excellent English- speaking proficiency
VISAS: Participants may participate with a visa waiver or tourist category of visa. Assistance with J-1 Visas available in cooperation with Interexchange.
LODGING: Reside with volunteer host family or alternative lodging available upon request. You can also participate in the internship only and stay with friends or family of your own.
TRANSPORTATION: Intern is responsible for transportation to and from the internship. Coordinators provide assistance with transportation arrangements.
MEALS: Meals are provided in the host family home. Lunches and other meals consumed outside of the home are the participant's responsibility
ASSISTANCE: Local coordinators conduct homestay and business orientations. Staff provides assistance 24/7.

The VIP Program Includes:
Homestay with a carefully screened volunteer host family or you can participate in the internship only and stay with friends or family of your own
Arrival and departure transfers from the local airport to the homestay community
Prearranged placement in volunteer business experience
Homestay and business orientations
Full services from the Denver staff, Regional Coordinator, Business Coordinator and Program Coordinator
* Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the volunteer business.
