Benefit from personalized intensive English language instruction in a stimulating learning
environment that motivates and challenges you to speak and practice English. Rigorous one-on-one English tutoring combined with intensive practice with conversation pals provides opportunities for individualized instruction to meet your English language learning needs.
If you require formal English instruction to improve your English conversation skills during your individual homestay, you will benefit from one-on-one instructional time with an English tutor in the convenience of your host family home. You may choose to meet with your tutor one to three days per week for intensive two hour sessions.
Additional practice with American conversation pals three times a week gives you an opportunity to practice and improve the English skills you have learned with your tutor. Practice occurs in a variety of real world settings to immerse you in the English language. This additional practice time reinforces the formal instruction and strengthens the learning process.
Gain the confidence to success fully converse utilizing sophisticated receptive and expressive English conversation skills in school, business, family, and recreational settings. This will help you get where you want to go with your Improved English conversation skills!

The Program Includes:
2-hour intensive English tutoring from certified ESL instructors one, two, or three days per week
Individually designed ESL materials
OPTIONAL Three hour practice sessions with conversation pals three days per week
Homestay with a carefully screened volunteer host family
Full services of local coordinator, regional and Denver staff 24/7
Participant and host family orientations
2-8 week homestay; dates selected by the participant
Optional Arrival and departure transfers between the homestay community and local airport

What is a Conversation Pal???
A conversation pal is an American student who is about the same age as you are and who shares similar interests with you. Your conversation pal will work with the tutor to provide conversation practice sessions with you in everyday situations. You may visit a mall and go on a scavenger hunt that requires you to ask different shopkeepers questions, visit a restaurant and have to order a meal, prepare a meal at home in the kitchen of your host family, play a game that requires conversation, discuss political, educational, scientific or other topics depending upon your area of interest and your language level. The conversation pal is there to be your friend and to help you improve your English conversation skills!
